- [8/11]: The instructor will be out of town on Aug. 22 and 24. On Aug. 22, a teaching assistant will distribute various materials and assignments. Class on Aug. 24 is cancelled. A makeup class will be announced at a later time.
Homework Several homework problems will be given every week. Homework must be turned in by specified due dates. For homework based on Maple, Maple electronic file should be sent to the instructor by email. Homework PageExams Three exams and a final comprehensive exam will be given. Students must take all three exams. - Exam 1: September 28 (Th.), Chapters 1-3
- Exam 2: November 3 (Th.), Chapters 4-5
- Exam 3: December 5 (Tu.), Chapters 6-7
- Final Comprehensive Exam: December 12 (Tu.), Chapters 1-7
Grading Course grades are determined based on the following weight: Three midterm exams (15% each), Final exam (35%), Homework and other assignments (20%). |
